Project in Process: Essex Master Bathroom
We have been working on a ton of bathrooms lately, 20 to be exact are currently in process. Good thing – we LOVE tile, lighting and plumbing! You might say I am in my bliss working on pulling palettes together.
This Master Bath came together pretty easily, a nice balance of warm and cool tones. We found this sparkly green tile called ‘midori’ on a shopping blitz at Discover Tile and got the palette going from there. We finally pulled this black slate for the floor after working through some cleaner, more modern tiles that were just too sleek. This bath has a gorgeous view of the forest, so the more natural material worked well and balanced how clean the midori tile and vanities are. Thinking simpler was better the client went that route with plumbing as well, working with Mindy at Designer Bath to find all her plumbing. She found a fabulous freestanding tub for a great price and paired it with simple, sleek faucets and a tub filler. It was a bonus that we scored the oak sink bases from Restoration Hardware on sale and already had grey stone as counter options – perfect! We topped it all off with this super fun bubble chandelier from West Elm. Thank goodness the local West Elm in Burlington had it on display to check it out. It looked great lit and unlit – sold! I promptly carted that home.
The tile install should start next week – stay tuned for progress!
Wow! What a beautiful master-bath-to-be, Kristina!

One of my favorite elements of your posts are ou hand renderings! You are so talented. Love the color/materials palette and the layout. I look forward to seeing the final photos!
