Farmhouse Fixer: Liang Family
This HGTV Season 2 Farmhouse Fixer project was a partial renovation of the first floor, focusing primarily on removing a wall between the kitchen and dining room to open up that space. With a little reconfiguring we were able to fit in a smaller bathroom, pantry/laundry room, and create a proper mudroom. The homeowners did not want to lose the spirit of the old house but were open to a more sophisticated-eclectic take on their older home with a touch of coastal. Our favorite part of the project was the relentless search for a salvaged marble mantle that fit the existing opening. Another surprise for the homeowner was transforming a little used closet behind the fireplace into a hidden bar.
